Fantastic News. Merthyr Band Pretty Vicious that I photographed for my This Time in Wales project are being played every day this week on BBC Radio One.
Photographed Pretty Vicious today for my "This Time in Wales" series. Such talent at such a tender age. They were photographed at The Cave - the remains of the old Cyfarthfa Ironworks. The place was the inspiration for their first recording - "The Cave". You will be seeing and hearing a lot of these guys in the future.
An exciting new project. I am revisiting Merthyr Tydfil and the village of Heolgerrig to photograph its people. It will be an modern day update to my project Once Upon a Time in Wales. The project is supported by Arts Council Wales and the REDHOUSE Gallery in Merthyr Tydfil where the work will be exhibited from March to May 2016.
Came across these talented musicians in the Metro station while passing through Paris earlier in the year.
My film Astronauts, Vikings and Ghosts is to be broadcast by Sky Arts on television in New Zealand.
